Optimizing the end-of-month trade

Stocks have a long-established monthly “seasonal” effect whereby the market tends to advance the last day of a month and the first three days of the next month. This tendency has been documented by analysts such as Norman Fosback, author of Stock Market Logic, and Yale Hirsch and Jeffrey Hirsch, editors of the Stock Trader’s Almanac.
