Learning the market's lessons

Back in the days before the online stock revolution, Doug Laughlin practiced an early method of active trading. In the 1980s he traded no-load mutual funds within the same fund family on an active basis. He worked full-time as a salesman in the information technology industry, but enjoyed monitoring the market and moving his investment capital around.
