European hedge-fund regulation faces opposition from all sides
By Chris PetersThe European Commission, the executive branch of the European Union (EU), has moved forward with legislation to provide greater transparency in the hedge-fund industry. During the G20 summit meetings in November and April, member nations, with France and Germany leading the push, agreed hedge-fund regulation needed to be tackled.
