Corn, soybean prices rise with the floodwaters

A torrent of rain flooded the Midwest throughout June, prompting fresh highs in many agricultural commodities. Corn and soybean farmers were hardest hit, as the non-stop rain, which broke levees and flooded towns along the Mississippi river, drenched their fields and ruined most of the crops they had already planted.
